Why is primary data preferred over estimates or assumptions?

Primary data, directly collected from your operations (e.g., energy bills or supplier data), is more accurate and specific to your activities. Estimates or assumptions (e.g. from industry averages), is less precise and may not fully reflect your unique emissions profile.
